
* KEMENKUMHAM DISTRIBUTES 46 THOUSAND PACKAGES TO COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY COVID-19 *
Jakarta - In the last two years, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken many things from our lives. Inevitably this condition also raises various kinds of concerns for the people of Indonesia, such as the rising poverty rates accompanied by soaring unemployment.
Data as of July 28, 2021, on page https://covid19.go.id/, The number of patients who were positively infected with Covid-19 nationally amounted to 3,287,727 people. This figure increased by 47,791 cases compared to the previous day.
However, since the government rolled out the Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) policy, there has been a downward trend in mobility in almost all regions. Where restrictions on community movement are an important factor in efforts to cut off the transmission of Covid-19.
Grateful, the condition is now gradually improving after the implementation of PPKM. Active cases, positivity rate, and daily cases decreased, as well as an increase in recovery that began to see in the third week of PPKM implementation. This increase must be simultaneously by optimism in various areas of people's lives. The community must also provide support policies carried out by the government, such as complying with health protocols, PPKM, and following vaccinations.
Government, in this case, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) seeks to help the community by distributing more than 46 thousand packages nationally, simultaneously to people throughout Indonesia, to survive amid a pandemic that has not shown signs of ending.
Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna H. Laoly said the government's policy by making PPKM Level 4 aims to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19. The policy originally set to expire on July 25, 2021, has now been officially extended to August 2, 2021.
The government is aware that this policy will affect the socio-economic activities of the Community, and have an impact on the inability of people who have difficulty in earning a living.
"Insan Pengayoman through the social assistance program "Kumham Peduli, Kumham Sharing", tries to empathize with the community and ASN Kemenkumham affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," said Yasonna while providing social assistance symbolically, Thursday (29/07/2021) morning.
Through the social assistance program coordinated by the Secretary-General, that recorded that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights provided a total of 46,614 social assistance packages and social funds of 700 million rupiahs.
The package mentioned is given to people throughout Indonesia, consisting of 43,558 heads from families directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and 3,056 ASN Kemenkumham exposed to Covid-19. Meanwhile, social funds provided to seven Regional Offices of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights that are currently implementing PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions) Level 4, Namely DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, DI Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, and Bali.
The Kumham Peduli Kumham sharing social assistance package every the person is given in the shaped rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, sardines, and milk.
"Our activity today is part of our concern for the community and our fellow employees who have been affected to Covid-19" That is a form of caring, social spirit, compassion, and a passion for sharing," Yasonna said at the Kemenkumham ceremony field.
This activity, said Yasonna, is in line with President Joko Widodo's direction to ministers to take maximum steps by providing support, one of which is in the form of providing social assistance to the community and micro-enterprises.
"The social assistance does not only touch people in urban areas, but also to our brothers and sisters who are in the border areas of the Republic of Indonesia with other countries," said Yasonna.
"Hopefully what we are doing today can help ease the burden of those who are directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," said Laoly. "I express my deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to all Pengayoman People who care, can share based on sincerity and awareness," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Andap Budhi Revianto, said that apart from being concentrated in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Jabodetabek area for the central unit, this hybrid activity was also carried out simultaneously at Regional Offices of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights throughout Indonesia.
"The government cannot work alone, all parties including the community must be willing to work together, work together to face this tough test," said Andap. "God willing, the government's hard work can succeed if accompanied by support and awareness from the community," he continued.
"Our message to the whole community is to stay alert, don't worry, always think positively accompanied by optimism, always obey health protocols, and follow vaccinations," he closes it.
